Newsom cancels news conference as "caution" amid protests
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California Gov. Gavin Newsom canceled a Wednesday news conference on the coronavirus out of “an abundance of caution" after pro-Trump protesters gathered outside the state Capitol, though there were no major incidents or attempts to access the building.
