Six more Grant County residents died from COVID-19, according to a Grant County Health District release Wednesday evening, bringing the total deaths to 115.

Four had underlying conditions, which put them at higher risk of complications. They were a Soap Lake woman in her 50s, a Moses Lake man in his 60s, and two Moses Lake men in their 70s.

The two who didn’t have underlying conditions were a Moses Lake woman in her 70s and a Moses Lake man in his 70s.

None of the deaths were associated with a long-term care facility, the release stated.

More than 10,000 COVID-19 vaccinations have been administered, including first and second doses. An Incident Management Team and Task Force are coordinating large vaccination events, such as those at the Grant County Fairgrounds.

Inclement weather delayed vaccinations, but those were expected to be available this week, with priority given to second doses and rescheduling canceled appointments.

The state also is expected to get more vaccines from the federal government, the release stated, with those in phases 1A and 1B1 the only people eligible for inoculation.
