Quincy man arrested for alleged drug trafficking

QUINCY — A Quincy man was arrested after investigators seized more than three ounces of suspected cocaine from his home.

Humberto “Beto” Garcia, 45, was booked Feb. 4 into the Grant County Jail for possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, according to a press release from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. Other allegations are being considered, since the residence was within a designated school zone.

Law enforcement officers searched the home at 411 O St. SW in Quincy and found a substance suspected to be cocaine, one firearm, about 750 rounds of ammunition and packaging materials, among other items, the release stated.

The investigation was conducted by the Interagency Narcotics Investigation Team (INET), which was focusing on local drug trafficking. The team includes officers from the GCSO, the Quincy Police Department, the Washington State Patrol and the Washington National Guard. The GCSO, QPD and WSP also aided in searching the home.
