Suzanne (Sue) Opal Allen
March 18, 1952 – November 13, 2021
Suzanne (Sue) Allen passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 13 in her sleep after a long illness surrounded by her loving family.
Sue was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, on March 18, 1952, to O.J. and Maxine Allen. Sue is preceded in death by her parents O.J. and Maxine Allen and her brother Sam. She is survived by her daughter Melissa and the love of her life, her four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren: grandsons Jake and Laddie Joe whom she adopted and raised as her own; granddaughters Star and Desiree; and great-grandchildren Riley, Ily, Daniel, Reine, Aiden, Asher, Robert, Damian, Emilio and Ileliana. She also has many nephews and nieces whom she loved. Sue is also survived by her lifelong friend and brother, Tom. Sue also had her lifelong friend Connie Cummins. Also, can’t forget her little dog Bug.
Sue had been married a number of years but divorced. We admired her genuine ability to make everyone feel loved like family. Sue was a talented and creative person who could produce the most beautiful crocheted blankets, needle work, doilies, house slippers and many other treasures. She was a hard worker. She worked at Simplot Foods for 33 years as a team leader and operator until she retired. The family would like to thank, Aging & Adult Care, Assured Hospice, Samaritan Hospital and Columbia Crest for their help. Most of all our special thanks to her granddaughters Star and Desi for being Sue’s caregivers during this time that she needed you most.
Thank you for your love and tender care. Sue was much loved and is dearly missed.
Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Memories, 810 S. Pioneer Way.
