Letter: Drag king event a poor choice for museum
Thank you, CBH, for allowing me to freely share my opinion on the events that are invited to our community. Dolly Boyd, the museum director, has chosen Caesar Hart as one of the three events from the Humanities Washington Speaker Bureau. Mr. Hart’s Facebook page calls him Seattle’s premier drag king. It states he is an agent for change, working for the LGBTQ+ community. He claims this event at our museum provides community and self-confidence, saves lives and raises awareness and advocates for the LGBTQ+ acceptance. I have asked Dolly Boyd in the future to consider different venues in the future for their chosen events.
