NOTICE OF DETERMINATION OF NONSIGNIFIGANCE (DNS) ISSUED BY DOUGLAS COUNTY Pursuant to WAC 197-11-340, Douglas County has issued a Determination of Nonsignifigance for a regional submerged fiber optic line; and will not act on this proposal for 14 days (see below). The proposal involves installation of fiber optic cables that will traverse through the Columbia River (submerged) and have multiple terrestrial landing points. The fiber optic cables will fall within Douglas, Grant, and Chelan Counties and connect to the Microsoft Corporations Data Centers. A total of 192,033 ft. of cable will be installed within the Columbia River and in riparian areas to tie into below-grade terrestrial landing vaults. The comment period for this DNS begins on 8/5/2021 and concludes on 8/19/2021. Comments must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on 8/19/2021 to Douglas County Transportation and Land Services, located at 140 19th Street N.W., East Wenatchee, Washington, or by email at tackley@co.douglas.wa.us. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT AN OPEN RECORD PUBLIC MEETING WILL BE HELD August 10, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. in the Grant County Commissioners Hearing Room, Courthouse, Ephrata, WA to consider a proposed Development Agreement between Grant County and Legacy Resort Construction, LLC. The proposed development agreement will guide and direct the development of the Master Planned Resort known as "The Legacy Resort at Frenchman Hills". The parcels subject to this agreement include 21-0044-000; 21-0042-000, 21-0043-005, and those portions of the Legacy Resort that have previously been recorded. The term on the agreement will be for 20 years unless otherwise extended or terminated. Any interested persons may appear regarding these matters.
