It is with our deepest sorrow that we share with you the passing of our loved one, Dale Stark, 69, of Soap Lake, Washington. He passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Confluence Hospital in Wenatchee, Washington, from complications of COVID-19. Due to COVID, a virtual celebration of life will be scheduled in August 2021 through Crawfordosthus.com. This is also where you are welcome to leave a tribute to Dale.

Dale was born July 7, 1951, at Watertown, South Dakota, to Lloyd and Dolores (Kannas) Stark. He grew up on the family farm. He attended Watertown High School and Lake Area Vocational School. Dale was a cross-country truck driver for 44 years, traveling the entire U.S. and much of Canada in his semi. He also spent three years in Iraq driving truck as a military contractor, working closely with the Marines and Special Forces, for which he was awarded special recognition from both branches of the service.

In his retirement, Dale loved participating in competitive lawnmower races, camping, fishing, carpentry and welding. He took great pride in his Silverado pickup truck. Dale was rarely without his dog, Deputy, by his side. Dale enjoyed life to the fullest!

Dale is survived by his wife Deirdre; daughters Tina Stark of Winona Texas and Melissa Stark of Britton, South Dakota; sons Dale Stark Jr, Jeramy Stark (Brandi) and Joe Stark (Kari) of Britton, South Dakota and Jacob Stark of Springfield, South Dakota and stepchildren Curtis Gay and Christina Smith (Nolan) of Washington. Dale is also survived by brothers Roger (Audrey) Stark, Donnie (Dorie) Stark and Allen (Dianne) Stark; sisters Vergene (Rich) Comes, Joyce (Jim) Comes, Debbie Smith and Patricia Hanson; 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, brother Merle and daughter Shaila Jean Canoot.
