Adams County Sheriff's Office reports for April 28, 2021

Deputies responded to a fire at the 2100 block of West Cunningham Road, Othello. A vehicle was fully engulfed in flames and a second vehicle also caught fire. The fire was determined to be arson.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of East Main Street, Othello, of a vehicle attempting to race another vehicle on the street. A juvenile was arrested for reckless driving, attempted street racing. The juvenile was also issued traffic infractions for equipment violations. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Deputies were on patrol near the 700 block of East Main Street, Othello when they observed two vehicles racing. Deputies caught up to both drivers and arrested them. A 23-year-old man and an 18-year-old man were arrested on racing on a public highway.

April 17

Deputies responded to the 300 block of South Highway 21, Lind, for a report of an injury rollover collision. Deputies contacted the subjects at the East Adams Rural Hospital and stood by until the state patrol arrived and completed their investigation.

April 18

Deputies responded to the 1300 block of East Pine Street for a report of a traffic collision. The incident was determined to be caused by a driver failing to stop at a stop sign and colliding with a police vehicle. A 31-year-old Moses Lake man was arrested by citation for third-degree driving with license suspended.

Deputies responded to Interstate 90, west of Ritzville, for a report of a collision involving multiple vehicles. Deputies assisted with traffic control on scene.

April 19

Deputies responded to the 700 block of South Thacker Road, Othello, for a report of a single-vehicle rollover collision. The driver was transported to a local medical center for treatment and the vehicle was impounded.

Deputies responded to the 2400 block of East Second Street, Lind, for a report two storage units had been damaged and possibly broken into.

April 20

Deputies responded to the 500 block of East Lee Road, Lind, for a report of a burglary.

Deputies responded to West Hatton Road, Othello, for a report of GPS equipment stolen from a tractor.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of SR-26 and South Taylor Road, Othello, and found the driver had a suspended license. A 46-year-old man was released pending a criminal citation via mail correspondence.

April 21

Deputies responded to the 2600 block of West McManamon Road, Othello, for a report of a hit-and-run collision with damage to county-owned property. Deputies contacted the registered owner and advised the vehicle had been sold months earlier.
