NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS MISC. SEWER REPAIRS - 2021 Moses Lake, Washington Sealed bids will be received at the Civic Center Annex, 321 South Balsam, (P. O. Box 1579), Moses Lake, Washington 98837 until MAY 5, 2021; 11:00 A.M., for the above-named improvement. Said bids will be opened and publicly read at that time. All bids shall be received before said opening time in sealed envelopes with MISC. SEWER REPAIRS - 2021 marked plainly thereon. All bids shall be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a postal money order, cashier's check, or bond in an amount equal to 5 percent of the maximum total amount of the bid. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract or furnish a satisfactory contract bond within the time stated in the specifications, the deposit shall be forfeited to the City. Plans and specifications may be obtained at no cost via electronic transmission from the City of Moses Lake. Paper copies of the plans and specifications may also be obtained from the Civic Center Annex at the above address for a non-refundable fee of $50. It includes the removal of approximately 720 square yards of pavement and concrete, followed by the grading, paving, and installation of a parking area, concrete retaining wall, driveway and sidewalk. Also included will be underground electrical work, sewer, and approximately 200 linear feet of 6" water-main, the relocation of an electrical circuit breaker and irrigation sprinkler controller, and the installation of a telemetry radio antenna. Four structures of various construction will be demolished. A steel I-beam structure will be erected for a 2-ton hoist and will include electrical work for hoist power. Press Release Candidate Filing Week begins Monday, May 17, 2021. Candidates filing in person will file at the Grant County Election Department located on the 2nd floor of the Courthouse, Room 203 beginning May 17th at 8:00 a.m. and continue through Friday, May 21st at 5:00 p.m. A person filing a Declaration of Candidacy for an office shall, at the time of filing, possess the qualifactions specified by law for persons who may be elected to the office. The candidate must be properly registered to vote in the district represented by the office at the time of filing. At the time of filing, if the office being filed for has a filing fee, it must be paid at the time of filing in cash or by check. Electronic filing opens Monay, May 17th at 9:00 a.m. and closes Friday, May 21st at 4:00 p.m. When filing electronically, the filing fee may be paid by credit card. The acceptance of candidate filings submitted by mail will be accepted by mail beginning 10 business days before the opening of filing week, May 3rd.
