Prep roundup: Wahluke finishes unbeaten at home

Wahluke 6, Manson 0

Alondra Lozano scored three times in the Warriors’ final game of the season at home on Tuesday. Ana Andrade added a pair of goals while Hiselle Bernal added one as well. Wahluke finished the season at 9-1, undefeated at home for the second straight year.

Ephrata 2, Eastmont 1

Ephrata picked up the 2-1 win over the Eastmont JV squad at home on Tuesday. Mackenzie Lembcke and Aliya Avila scored for the Tigers. Ephrata moves to 5-5 for the season.

Royal 3, Lake Roosevelt 1

Meadow Saenz scored a pair of goals for the Knights in the win over Lake Roosevelt on Tuesday. Chenoa Louie also snagged a goal. Royal moves to 4-6, having won four of their last six games.

Ephrata 2, Eastmont 3

After falling behind two sets to none early on Tuesday, the Tigers fought back to take the next two sets, 27-25 and 25-15. Ephrata fell narrowly in the decisive fifth set, 16-14. Head coach Britney MacLeod said the final set was “point-for-point.”

Lindsey Addink finished with 32 assists and 10 blocks, set up by an all-out performance from Halee Moore on the back line, MacLeod said. Moore finished with 21 digs. Hayden Mills led the team with 21 kills.

Ephrata’s Hayden Roberts finished third overall in the boys meet last Thursday, with Cashmere’s Rob McManus taking first in the event. Hans Roberts followed up his teammate with a sixth place finish, joined by Tigers Hayden Malone (9) and Aidan Devine (10). Royal’s Joaquin Meza led the Knights, placing 11th overall.

Cascade’s Lauren Muscutt took first overall, with Royal’s Sydney Burke taking fifth place, the best showing among local runners. Her teammate Kenia Orth took eighth, followed by Quincy’s Jane Kennedy in ninth. Ephrata’s Alexa Laughlin fell just outside the top 10, taking 11th.
