Karen Baker
July 30, 1959 – 25 September 2020
Karen M. Baker, a resident of Moses Lake, Washington, passed away peacefully in early hours of Sept. 25, 2020, at the age of 61.
Karen was born in Ephrata, Washington, on July 30, 1959, to Harold and Olive (Schechter) Baker; she also had an older sister, Hilary.
Karen lived in Moses Lake for well over 40 years. She lived independently, being very proud of that fact. She was often seen walking and she always gave a wave to people she knew. Karen worked at Tri-State Outfitters for over 27 years, another fact she was very proud of.
Karen was active in sports and a very sociable person. She participated in basketball, bowling and T-ball. For many years she traveled to Fort Lewis in early June to participate in the annual Special Olympic events held there. Her close circle of friends included others who took part in Special Olympics and sports.
Karen was known to many people, and she was loved by many people. We will miss her very much; the world is a lesser place with her gone.
No service will be held. Karen will be placed with her mother, Olive, at Evergreen-Washelli Columbarium in Seattle, Washington.
