The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, September 30, 2020
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Following days of unsettled weather, a sweep of drier,
cooler air will move across the Eastern Seaboard as
September comes to a close tomorrow. Rain may linger for the
first half of the day in southeastern New England and much
of the day in Maine before the dry air moves in by Thursday.
The Great Lakes region and Upper Midwest can expect a
blustery day with widespread showers ahead of a reinforcing
shot of chilly air. Much of the South will be dry and
comfortable as thunderstorms and high humidity linger in
South Florida. A dome of high pressure is forecast to keep
the West dry with above-normal temperatures. The hot, dry
weather will bring no relief to the drought and wildfire
situation.
