People For People to make changes to Tri-Cities route

Starting Monday, Oct. 12, People For People will change two bus routes.

Route 102, which runs between Othello and the Tri-Cities, will be adding a second trip each day, according to Rosenda Henley, mobility manager and travel trainer for People For People. The added trip will start in Moses Lake at 10:30 a.m. The return trip being added collects passengers in the Tri-Cities between 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. before heading back to Adams County.

Adding stops in Moses Lake and Warden also allows those wishing to take the bus to the Tri-Cities who don’t have the ability to get to Othello the opportunity to still use the service.

“This way, it will make it easier for those wanting to go,” Henley said.

Anyone riding the bus from Moses Lake or Warden will be dropped off at Warden on the return trip where they can connect with a Grant Transit Authority bus.

In November, People For People will be making changes to the Health Express Shuttle, which runs from Moses Lake to Wenatchee.

All bus routes are open to the general public and are fare-free. Masks are required.
