City seeks applications for tourism projects funding

MOSES LAKE — Hotel/motel tax funds are available to help boost tourism in Moses Lake.

The city’s Lodging Tax Advisory Committee is seeking applications for tourism projects, according to the city. The committee reviews funding applications and advises the city council on how to use hotel/motel tax revenue.

The proposal deadline is Friday. Applications must be received or postmarked by 5 p.m. on Oct. 2. For more information and to download an application, go to https://tinyurl.com/y4cbfcyp.

Funded projects for 2019 included: Basin GYM Boosters, Moses Lake Spring Festival, Moses Lake Business Association, Moses Lake Museum & Art Center, city of Moses Lake’s Park and Recreation Department, Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce, Columbia Basin Allied Arts and Visit Washington, according to the city.
