NATIONAL SUMMARY

A few showers in association with Beta will dampen portions

of New Jersey, Delaware, eastern Maryland, eastern Virginia

and eastern North Carolina tomorrow. A steadier rain may

fall on the Outer Banks as Beta moves offshore. Afternoon

showers will cool northern Minnesota and northwestern

Wisconsin. Wet weather is also in store for western

Washington and western Oregon as well as northern Idaho.

Elsewhere, most areas will be dry. The Southwest will be

sunny with the wildfire risk remaining high with the

continued lack of rain and temperatures over the century

mark in some locations. Summerlike heat will also continue

in the central and southern Plains with temperatures over 90

F in southern Nebraska, much of Kansas, western Oklahoma and

West Texas.
