Stratford Road to close at night Monday through October 23
MOSES LAKE — Starting Monday, drivers on North Stratford Road will experience significant daytime delays and closures each night, according to city officials.
North Stratford Road will close in phases for road improvements at 6:30 p.m. each evening and reopen at 6:30 a.m. each morning, Monday through Friday, until Oct. 23, officials stated in a press release. No access will be permitted on certain sections of the road during their particular phase of construction.
After the road reopens at 6:30 a.m. each morning, access will still be limited and drivers should expect delays, according to city officials. Kelso-based contractor C&R Tractor and Landscaping will close about one-third of the length of the road at a time.
They will concentrate their efforts in three phases.
Phase 1: From Broadway Avenue to Knolls Vista Drive during the week of Sept. 28.
Phase 2: From south of McDonald’s to the SR-17 bridge during the week of Oct. 5.
Phase 3: From Knolls Vista Drive to the south of McDonald’s during the weeks of Oct. 12 and Oct. 19.
The contractor may switch the timelines of phases 2 and 3 depending on traffic signal work, city officials wrote in the release. Only one phase will be closed at night at a time. During the day, all driveways and at least one lane of traffic will be open in each direction.
Anyone with questions can contact C&R Tractor and Landscaping at 360-577-8288 and ask for Joe, city officials wrote.
