Grant County Health District announces two additional COVID-19 deaths
MOSES LAKE — The Grant County Health District has announced two more Grant County residents have died due to the COVID-19 virus. The deaths, announced Friday, bring to 20 the number of county residents who have died from coronavirus or due to complications from the virus.
Health district administrator Theresa Adkinson said the latest fatalities were both women in their 60s and both were from the Quincy area. One woman had underlying health conditions that made her more vulnerable to the disease; the other did not.
The GCHD announcement did not say when the two women had died.
Moses Lake School District officials announced Friday they had been notified of what they characterized as “a few positive cases” of coronavirus within the district. The announcement didn’t provide any specifics on age or where the patients had contracted the disease.
District officials said they were working to notify all individuals and student cohorts who came in contact with the coronavirus patients.
