Two injured in accident near Warden

WARDEN — A man and a woman were injured Saturday morning when the vehicle they were traveling in hit a vehicle that was stopped in a road near Warden.

Eudelio Garza, 33, and a passenger, Trinity Olsen, 29, of Moses Lake, were transported to Providence-Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane due to the injuries they suffered in the accident, which occurred about 1 a.m. Saturday. Their injuries were not life-threatening, according to Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

Garza was driving north on Road U Southeast in a 1998 Dodge Dakota truck. It ran head-on into a 2006 Dodge Ram truck that was stopped in the road, blocking the intersection, and did not have hazard lights or exterior lights on, GCSO stated.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, Eladio Landeros, 21, of Warden, was not injured. GCSO stated that Landeros is under investigation of DUI.

The incident is under investigation by the GCSO Motor Traffic Unit. None of the three people involved in the accident wore a seat belt, GCSO stated.
