Afghan officials: Taliban attack checkpoints, kill 28 police
KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — The Taliban launched a wave of attacks on security checkpoints in southern Afghanistan overnight, killing a total of 28 Afghan policemen, officials said Wednesday.
