Beta spurs hurricane watch for Texas, expected to strengthen

MIAMI (AP) — A hurricane watch was in effect early Saturday for coastal Texas as Tropical Storm Beta gains strength in the Gulf of Mexico during an exceptionally busy Atlantic hurricane season.
