Cellarbration for Education fundraiser moves online

MOSES LAKE — The annual Cellarbration for Education fundraiser to benefit Big Bend Community College Foundation is moving online for 2020. The silent auction bidding begins Sept. 16, and the live auction will be presented by livestream Sept. 19.

Traditionally, Cellarbration is the foundation’s biggest fundraiser each year. The foundation awarded $250,000 in scholarships in the 2019-20 academic year, and $23,000 in emergency scholarships, according to a BBCC press release.

Cellarbration was postponed during the spring due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Advance registration is required to bid. The silent auction for general items and for desserts opens Sept. 16; the dessert silent auction closes at 7 p.m., Sept. 18. The general silent auction closes at 7 p.m., Sept. 19.

The auction live­stream will begin at 7 p.m., Sept. 19. Bids on live stream auction items will be accepted beginning at 6 p.m., an hour before the livestream.
