MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake man was arrested Saturday after reportedly shooting at a vehicle containing his girlfriend, according to police.

Daniel Wayne Hubbard, 37, was booked on a charge of second-degree domestic violence attempted murder.

Officers were dispatched to a Moses Lake parking lot around 3 a.m. Saturday for a report of multiple shots fired at the location. No evidence of a shooting was initially found, according to police reports.

Around 8 a.m. Saturday, officers located the victim from the shooting, as well as a vehicle with at least two bullet holes in it, according to police. According to the victim, her boyfriend had confronted her and the owner of the vehicle earlier that morning before firing rounds at the car.

Officers later located Hubbard at his residence. According to police reports, after convincing Hubbard to walk outside of his residence for what he was led to believe was unrelated to the shooting, he was arrested on attempted murder charges.

Officers reportedly located the firearm used in the morning’s incident, a .38 caliber handgun, as well as a number of shell casings.
