Notice of Public Hearings & Determination of Non-Significance Othello Planning Commission & Othello City Council Zoning Ordinance Updates Notice is hereby given that the City of Othello will hold public hearings to discuss updates to the Zoning Code, Othello Municipal Code Title 17, specifically residential setbacks and residential garage requirement. The hearings will be held: At the Planning Commission meeting, Monday, Sept. 21 at 6:00 PM At the City Council meeting, Monday, Sept. 28 at 6:30 PM The public hearings will be accessible by internet and phone. All Council and Commission meetings are open to the public. Arrangements to reasonably accommodate special needs, including accessibility or an interpreter, will be made upon receiving 24-hour advance notice. Check the website at https://www.othellowa.gov/ for more information and the meeting link, or contact the City of Othello at 509-488-5686 or email at ahenning@othellowa.gov The City has also issued a Determination of Non-Significance (DNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) for these updates to the Zoning Code. This project does not have any probable significant adverse environmental impacts. This decision was made after review of an environmental checklist and other information on file with the City.
