ELECTION 2020 – DOUBLE VOTING -GEORGIA: Georgia’s secretary of state said Tuesday that his office is investigating double voting in the June primary. That would mean people submitted absentee ballots but also voted in person. TRUMP – POSTMASTER GENERAL: House Democrats will investigate whether Postmaster General Louis DeJoy encouraged employees at his business to contribute to Republican candidates and then reimbursed them in the guise of bonuses, a violation of campaign finance laws. VIRUS OUTBREAK-VACCINE PLEDGE: Top executives of nine drugmakers likely to produce the first vaccines against the new coronavirus are taking the extraordinary step of promising they’ll be safe and effective. The announcement comes amid worries that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration will be under political pressure to approve a vaccine before tests to prove it is safe and effective are finished.
