Coronavirus cases reported in Grant, Adams counties

MOSES LAKE — Grant County Health District officials announced that 32 new cases of coronavirus were reported in the county Friday. As of Friday, 19 county residents with coronavirus were hospitalized.

Two cases that previously had been counted in the Grant County statistics were found to be residents of another county and were removed from Grant County totals. Health district officials have identified 2,372 cases of coronavirus in the county since the outbreak became general in March. According to state data, 17,405 Grant County residents had been tested as of Monday.

According to Adams County Health Department, 18 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Othello and two in Ritzville on Friday. The county’s total stood at 696 cases since the pandemic began. According to state data, 3,473 tests have been done for Adams County residents.

As of Friday, three county residents with coronavirus were hospitalized.

The number recovered from COVID-19 was 542.
