WENATCHEE — Patrons of the NCW Libraries, formerly the North Central Regional Library, system will be able to start using its mail order service Sept. 14.

The NCRL system announced a name change, to NCW Libraries, Aug. 18.

The mail order system was shut down, along with all libraries, in March to fight the COVID-19 outbreak. Over the summer some services have been restored or modified, but mail order was suspended.

Beginning Sept. 14, library card holders can reserve an item from any branch in the system and have it mailed to them. The distribution center is in Wenatchee, and the Chelan County facilities had remained closed even after libraries in Grant, Okanogan and Ferry counties had resumed some services.

Library district patrons in Grant County can return books to their local libraries, and NCW Library facilities in Grant County allow for curbside pickup of materials housed at that library.

The NCW Libraries system has branches in Royal City, Mattawa, Warden, Quincy, George, Moses Lake, Ephrata, Coulee City, Soap Lake and Grand Coulee.
