The Nation's Weather for Sunday, September 6, 2020
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A few strong-to-severe thunderstorms will be ongoing
tomorrow morning across portions of Iowa, Wisconsin and
Illinois. Damaging winds and flooding rainfall will still be
possible before these storms weaken later in the morning.
Stormy weather will touch much of the Great Lakes as a warm
front noses into the area. Elsewhere, showers and
thunderstorms will dot portions of Texas and Florida, in the
afternoon. Dry and pleasant conditions will stretch from the
Northeast into the Tennessee Valley as high pressure remains
in place. Tomorrow will be the hottest day of the ongoing
heat wave for much of the West ahead of a cold blast of air
on Monday. Heat will climb to dangerous levels for some. The
ongoing dry conditions and heat will also act to elevate the
risk of wildfire spread across the region.
