Coronavirus: 63 cases reported over the weekend

GRANT COUNTY - There were 63 cases of the coronavirus reported in Grant County over the weekend, according to Grant County Health District.

Two previously reported cases were found to have been residents of other counties, bringing the total number of cases in Grant County since the pandemic began to 2,338, the health district reported Monday. State officials reported Sunday that 125 local residents have been hospitalized since the pandemic began. Eighteen are currently hospitalized, according to the health district.

In the past 28 days, 1,322 have recovered, the health district reported. Patients are considered recovered by the district 28 days after they initially tested positive, even if they are still symptomatic or experiencing long-term health effects from COVID-19.

There have been 685 cases in Moses Lake since the pandemic began, 648 in the Quincy area and 393 in the Mattawa area, the three areas of the county with the most confirmed cases.
