'Brian's Song,' 'Roots,' 'Purple Rain' writer dies at 83
LOS ANGELES (AP) — William Blinn, a screenwriter for the landmark TV projects “Brian’s Song” and “Roots” and the Prince film “Purple Rain,” has died. He was 83.
