The Nation's Weather for Saturday, October 24, 2020

_____

NATIONAL SUMMARY

A storm system will dive southward from Canada into the

northern Rockies tomorrow, bringing winterlike conditions to

the area. Record-challenging low temperatures and hefty snow

accumulations are expected across the northern Rockies as

well as the northern Plains. A slowly advancing cold front

will be draped across the eastern United States, sparking up

showers and a few storms from the interior Northeast to the

Southeast. In between the two areas of wet weather, much of

the Midwest will remain dry and chilly as an area of high

pressure is positioned overhead. Dry and mild conditions

will continue across the Desert Southwest and California,

further worsening the ongoing drought conditions in the

area.
