Commissioners seek solid waste board volunteer

EPHRATA — Grant County commissioners are looking for a volunteer to serve on the county’s Solid Waste Advisory Committee.

According to a news release from the commission, the board helps the county develop policies and programs concerning solid waste handling and disposal as well as reviews and comments on proposed rules and ordinances. Members are expected to review material from the Public Works Department and attend the majority of committee’s quarterly meetings.

Board members are not compensated for their participation, and the commissioners would prefer to have candidates from agriculture or industry, according to the press release.
