The Nation's Weather for Friday, October 16, 2020

_____

NATIONAL SUMMARY

Rain will spread northward along the Eastern Seaboard from

North Carolina to New England tomorrow. Some of the rain

could be heavy, especially in the afternoon. Farther west,

rain showers will stretch into north-central and

northeastern Montana as a disturbance moves southeastward

out of British Columbia and Alberta. Elsewhere,

thunderstorms will rumble across the central and southern

Florida Peninsula. Otherwise, outside of a few showers in

South Texas and some rain in western Washington, much of the

rest of the nation is expected to be dry. Temperatures will

be below normal with a cool Canadian air mass affecting much

of the nation. An exception will continue to be the West,

where temperatures in the deserts will once again soar past

the century mark.
