April 13, 1959 – October 8, 2020

Gerald H. Hanson, born April 13, 1959, passed away unexpectedly in his home early the morning of Oct. 8, 2020.

Gerry spent his entire life in the Pacific Northwest, was born and raised in central Oregon and was an alumnus of Lewis and Clark College. Gerry spent the majority of his life living and working in Moses Lake, Washington, raising his three kids and serving the community while doing what he loved. Gerry was well known for his craftsmanship and incredible talents, creating custom cabinetry and filling the homes around the lake with beautiful, unique finish work designs. Gerry was an incredible artist and it showed through everything he set his hands on. He loved the Seattle Mariners, his record player, his little green jeep and throwing his kids around on an inner tube behind his boat during the summer.

Gerry was a devout follower of Jesus Christ and had his heart and soul plugged into his church home. Although he was a man of few words, he showed his love to everyone through acts of service.

Gerry leaves behind his wife Minty Hanson and three children Megan, Miles and Marci; his granddaughter Melanie; parents Gene and Janet and two brothers Jeff and Jim. Gerry was deeply loved by his family, and left a lasting impact on his community and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The service for Gerry Hanson will be held at 303 E. Nelson Drive, Moses Lake, Washington, on Oct. 15 at 6:30 p.m. Please practice COVID-19 precautions. The service will be broadcast on 99.9 FM but you will need to be within a block of the church, so you are welcome to park and listen if that makes you more comfortable than joining us inside the church.
