The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, October 14, 2020
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A quick-moving storm system and associated cold front will
spread a wide swath of rain from the northern Rockies to the
Great Lakes tomorrow. Behind this front, the coldest air of
the season thus far will begin to seep southward from
Canada. Showers will persist for much of the day across
portions of the Pacific Northwest. Aside from a few
afternoon thunderstorms along the Florida Peninsula, much of
the rest of the country will experience dry weather.
Record-challenging heat will continue to build across the
Southwest and some of that warmth will spill out as far east
as the Plains. Seasonable temperatures are in store for much
of the East.
