The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, October 13, 2020

_____

NATIONAL SUMMARY

Downpours fueled by moisture from the Atlantic Ocean will

shift north tomorrow and target New England. While a soggy

day is in store for much of the region, northern New England

will be most at risk for heavy downpours that may lead to

flash flooding. High pressure building over the Ohio Valley

will act to keep dry and seasonable conditions in place for

much of the Central and Eastern states. The Gulf Coast will

be the exception as warm, humid air remains stifling.

Another storm system will approach the Northwest with rain

becoming more steady throughout the day. Some higher

elevation snow is also possible in the northern Rockies. Dry

conditions will persist across the Southwest while warmth

continues to rise to unseasonable levels.
