The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, November 17, 2020

_____

NATIONAL SUMMARY

A low pressure system will drag a potent cold front into the

northwestern United States tomorrow. Rain and high-elevation

snow will target portions of the Northwest, as well as

Northern California. Periods of rain can even extend into

central California. Farther east, portions of the Great

Lakes and the Northeast will be impacted by lake-effect

snow. Travel disruptions are likely for portions of New

York, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, impacted by the

heaviest snow bands. A few flurries can even travel as far

east as Philadelphia or New York City. Aside from a few

showers in Florida, the rest of the country will be under

the influence of high pressure. This will allow rather

sunny, comfortable conditions to remain in place across much

of the country.
