_____

NATIONAL SUMMARY

The tail end of a cold front will generate a few showers in

South Florida tomorrow. A second cold front will dampen

parts of Missouri and Illinois with rain. Elsewhere, snow

will blanket the northern and central Rockies. Another

powerful storm will approach the coast of the Pacific

Northwest, slamming Washington and Oregon with strong winds,

drenching rain in the lower elevations and heavy snow in the

Cascades. A large area of high winds will buffet the Rockies

eastward into the Plains and western Great Lakes. Much of

the Northeast can expect temperatures within a few degrees

of either side of normal for the middle of November.
