QUINCY — Quincy Valley Chamber of Commerce members are invited to submit nominations for the chamber’s annual awards event.

Normally, the recipients are announced at a dinner, but 2020 is not a normal year due to COVID-19. Chamber directors are still working out a format, with details to be announced.

Four awards will be presented in 2020: the Business of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement awards, which are presented annually and the Volunteer of the Year and the Teacher of the Year, which are awarded every other year.

Business of the Year candidates should have demonstrated excellence in all aspects of business management, and must be members in good standing of the Quincy chamber. The Lifetime Achievement Award goes to a person who promotes Quincy through his or her community involvement.

Volunteer of the Year candidates should demonstrate a commitment to volunteering and to Quincy. The Teacher of the Year nominees should show high-quality teaching skills and promote a love of learning in their students.

Nominations are due by Dec. 1. Nomination forms are available on the QVCC website, www.quincyvalley.org.
