Typhoon-ravaged northeast Philippines pummeled by new storm
MANILA, Philippines (AP) — A typhoon swelled rivers and flooded low-lying areas as it passed over the storm-battered northeast Philippines, where rescuers were deployed early Thursday to help people flee the rising waters.
