James Thomas Robinson

James Thomas Robinson, 73, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Nov. 1, 2020.

He was born in Billings, Montana, the oldest of four children, on Nov. 9, 1946, to Thomas and Isobel Robinson. Jim attended school in Elbow Creek and Roberts, Montana, and graduated from Red Lodge High School in 1965. He married Charlotte Hollen in 1965 and welcomed daughter Deedee in August 1965 and daughter Darla in March 1968.

In December of 1969, Jim started working for Far West Foods in Othello, Washington, as a mechanic, moving his young family to Othello in February 1970. He retired from Simplot after 38 years in 2009. Jim enjoyed boating, fishing, bowling and watching his Seahawks. Any time he got to spend with his grandchildren was cherished by him. He loved capturing them in candid photos.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Isobell, grandsons Joshua Michael Robinson and Alex James Graves and niece Holly Thomas. He is survived by his daughters Deedee Graves (Jeff) and Darla Spurgeon; brother Bob Robinson (Betty); sisters Ann Thomas (Randy) and Joan Robinson; cousin Bruce Vonada (Elaine); grandchildren Desiree Howes (Noah), Tyler Evens and TJ Spurgeon and great-grandchildren Zoe, Wyatt and Oliver Howes as well as several nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.

Graveside services will be held at Bess Hampton Memorial Gardens in Othello, Washington, on Nov. 13, 2020, at 1 p.m. There will be a memorial at the Elks Lodge in Moses Lake, Washington, on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 1 p.m.
