Walz calls special session, hints at COVID-19 restrictions

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said Monday that he plans to announce some targeted restrictions to help control the spread of COVID-19 and that he will convene a special legislative session later this week to extend his peacetime emergency powers amid a surge in cases in the state.
