GOP Sen. Cassidy trying to win outright in Louisiana primary
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Republican U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy was trying to reach a high hurdle Tuesday as polls had closed in Louisiana's election, seeking to defeat 14 challengers in the primary without needing to continue his campaign through a December runoff.
