NATIONAL SUMMARY

Rather quiet weather will be had across much of the nation

as folks head out to the polls on Election Day tomorrow.

Winds are forecast to lessen across the Northeast following

a blustery Monday, but it will remain cold across New

England with spotty rain and snow showers. Temperatures are

forecast to slowly moderate across the mid-Atlantic and the

Ohio Valley with dry weather expected and some sunshine.

The nation's midsection can expect sunshine to prevail, with

above-average warmth forecast from the Rockies to the Upper

Midwest. A storm system will move into the Pacific

Northwest, delivering a soaking rain to western Washington

and northwestern Oregon. Outside of very spotty showers in

Nevada and Utah, the Southwest will be sunny and very warm.
