VIRUS OUTBREAK-DAY CARE RULES
SEATTLE -- More families are jumping back to child care services this fall in an attempt to restart their old lives. Many parents, pediatricians and day care operators are finding that the new COVID-19 rules offer a much-needed layer of security during the pandemic but also seem especially incompatible with the germy reality of modern childhood. The new rules stem largely from the CDC’s coronavirus guidelines, lowering the fever threshold, disqualifying kids over a single bout of diarrhea or vomiting, and makes the once ubiquitous toddler sniffle suspect.
