NATIONAL SUMMARY
Cooler air will continue to filter into the Northeast
tomorrow and many locations will record high temperatures
around 10 degrees Fahrenheit below normal for the last day
of May. Farther south, the Southeast will finally receive a
dry day with less humid conditions. A few afternoon
thunderstorms will rumble along Florida's east coast and
across Deep South Texas. Much of the Central states will be
dry as high pressure builds over the area. Rain will linger
across portions of Washington, Idaho and Montana, as a storm
system progresses into Canada. Lower temperatures are in
store for much of the Northwest, while summerlike warmth
continues east of the Rockies. Portions of the Desert
Southwest will continue to bake under midsummerlike heat.
