INVITATION FOR BIDS CITY OF OTHELLO CUNNINGHAM ROAD TRANSMISSION MAIN You are hereby invited to bid on the City of Othello's "Cunningham Road Transmission Main Project". Separate sealed bids will be received by City of Othello at City Hall, located at 500 E. Main St., Othello, WA 99344 until 11:00 AM, May 29, 2020. All bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes with the project name marked plainly thereon. The proposed work includes the following: Installation of approximately 2,400 feet of 12" transmission main and appurtenances. Associated surface restoration ESTIMATED PROJECT COST: $290,000 The project is located west of Othello City Limits on Cunningham Rd in Adams County. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. A Bid Bond in an amount not less than 5% of the total amount bid shall be made payable to City of Othello. If the successful bidder fails to enter into the Contract or furnish satisfactory Contract Bonds within the time specified in the Contract Documents, the Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City. 100% performance and payment bonds will be required from the successful bidder. Plans and specifications may be obtained at no cost via electronic transmission from the City of Othello. Paper copies of the plans and specifications may also be obtained from the City at the above address for a non-refundable fee of $50.00. Plans and specifications can be requested by contacting the City during normal business hours. Copies of plans and specifications are on file for review at various construction councils and plan centers. All potential bidders shall confirm that they are on the plan holders list prior to the bid opening. The plan holder will be added to the list if the Contract Documents are requested directly from the City. Bids received from contractors not on the plan holders list will be rejected for being non-responsive. All work performed on this project will be subject to Washington State Prevailing Wage Rates. The City of Othello reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities, and in its sole judgment accept the bid which it deems is in its best interest.
