MOSES LAKE — Grant Transit Authority has renewed its contract with People For People, a Yakima-based social service provider, to provide “demand response transportation” for disabled residents in Grant and Adams counties.

According to a People For People press release, the organization has provided transportation services to disabled residents in the two counties for the past 24 years.

“This service is vital to many individuals who have disabilities in Grant County by providing them transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or other important trips,” said Jan Ollivier, transportation director for People For People.

In addition to the on-demand service, People For People operates three scheduled bus routes taking people to and from clinics and hospitals in Grant, Adams, Lincoln and Douglas counties.

People For People also operates food banks, non-emergency medical transportation services, employment training, meal deliveries and 211 social service information hotlines across Eastern Washington.
