Coronavirus: No new cases in Grant, Adams counties

There were no new cases of the novel coronavirus reported in Grant County on Wednesday according to the Grant County Health District.

The county’s total was 188 confirmed cases as of Wednesday evening. There were also 34 probable cases and 112 tests still pending results.

Three people sickened with the novel coronavirus are hospitalized.

As of Wednesday evening, the Quincy area’s total was 70 confirmed cases, Moses Lake had 36, Mattawa had 43, Ephrata had 16, Royal City had 12, Warden and Soap Lake each had four, and the Grant County portion of the Othello area had a single case.

In addition to tests that have come back positive, 2,027 have come back negative. As of Wednesday evening, around 8.3 percent of Grant County tests have come back positive, compared with around 6.8 percent statewide, according to statistics from the state Department of Health.

For the fifth day in a row, Adams County had no new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday. In the past 21 days, only four cases have been reported.

Adams County has had 50 cases. Three hundred eighty-four individuals have been tested, and 316 tests have come back negative.

So far, 48 of the 50 patients have recovered. No one is hospitalized with the virus.
