Mattawa Farmers Market to open in July

MATTAWA — The Mattawa Farmers Market is planning to open on Wednesday, July 15. Diane Hyndman, organizer of the farmers market, got approval for the farmers market from the Mattawa City Council during a council meeting on Thursday, May 7.

Due to COVID-19, farmers markets are currently required to accept only specific types of vendors, make traffic to flow in specific ways and not have any seating or music.

“Those are the guidelines for May,” Hyndman said. “We’ll see what they are in July.”

The Mattawa Farmers Market is planning to be open Wednesdays from 3 to 6 p.m. from July 15 to Aug. 5.
