Grant EDC: Some EIDL borrowers need to reapply

MOSES LAKE — Any business owner who applied for an Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) directly from the Small Business Administration and has a loan confirmation number beginning with “2” should reapply online for that loan, according to the Grant County Economic Development Council. Businesses will be able to reapply through the same EIDL portal and keep their place in line, the EDC said in a social media post Monday, citing the SBA.

The post did not say why borrowers need to reapply.

The EIDL loan program was created as part of the $2.2 trillion relief package passed by Congress to provide small businesses with a $10,000 advance and up to $2 million to cover losses incurred as a result of the COVID-19 shutdowns.
